At the tribe, we sometimes sing in order to express deep-felt emotions, we sometimes sing to while the time away, and at times, we sing in order to socialise and bond with one another. The mothers of Jici have recorded their voices in a studio, without any accompaniment that is deemed unnecessary. Their sound is also unlike ‘world music’ that has additional MIDI accompaniments.
