Wild Green Culture
部落飲食烹飪方式簡單,大多水煮或火烤,沾食族群有名的tenas(鹽巴辣椒水),食材卻非常的豐富,山上、海邊、溪邊都是食物的來源地,micekiw(海邊撿貝)、midateng(採野菜)、miadop(打獵),mieteng(溪邊抓魚蝦),只要有人說要去「拿」東西,那麼就代表今天的餐桌一定有好料。
Pancagh also called Ami folk are well known with the knowledge of edible greens in the wild. Not only knowing what is edible but a knowledge system builds with the use of plans as natural materials for buildings and household facilities and led to the handcraft skills and culture deeply connected to the spirit world.
The food comes from land, forest, river, sea, and mountain, and if you hear somebody say that he or she is going to "take" which means you can expect something delicious. To take usually means bare handed or sometimes with very simple tools, this is because they know the unwritten rule about "enough is enough", they comply with modest and thanksgiving, to understand the universe belong to nobody and the importance of perseverance.
